Our workshop in Makkum
Since 2004, Van Malsen Jachtbetimmering has worked from our workshop on the IJsselmeer. Founder Roland van Malsen started from his love of woodworking and rowing — a passion that grew into a workshop where yachts are finished down to the smallest detail, and where his oars are respected well beyond Makkum.
We renovated the workshop thoroughly in 2018; our machines now run largely on solar power. As a certified apprenticeship workshop, we've trained new craftsmen in the trade in practice since 2019.
